Period satellite phone in wheeled case

Years ago, satellite phones were really this large & cumbersome. The 4 white panels stored in the top compartment of the case clip onto the antenna gimbal assembly stored in the base to form a kind of steerable dish aerial. See the other photos. This then had to be precisely pointed at the known position of a satellite. With this you could then make phone calls from anywhere in the world - provided you could afford the baggage charges & the cost of linking to the satellite. This would have been much used by journalists, explorers & warlords in the 1980s.
