This is for hanging in a prominent place on a wall. It won't stand properly on its lower edge as it tries to lean forward somewhat. Powered by x2 C cells. Despite being mechanical this is amost completely silent in operation. The transparent cover is easily removed without tools. This allows the various sections of the clock to be set by directly turning various shafts & wheels allowing for easy retakes.
