Originally used for evaporating & depositing chromium & gold onto objects in preparation for viewing them under an electron microscope. Looks great for a chemistry, bio or physics laboratory setting. The big glass dome looks very impressive along with the shiny high tech looking apparatus contained within - which is removable in case you want to place your own action prop in there.
