This dual cassette answering machine has a hinged smoked plastic cover over the cassette compartments. There is a fake wood effect  strip around the case to give an early 1980s look. A rotary switch selects the mode - Playback, Answer, Outgoing message etc. There is a red power LED & also a green message received LED. Without calling in to a landline, this LED is hard to make practical. Given notice we could install a remote switch to control the green LED.
