Probably used for measuring particulate matter in air. Flow rate & differnt particulate sizes are listed on the LCD status screen. Being stainless steel cased, this would fit well into any lab where liquids are sloshed around such as a mortuary or chemical or biology research lab. Different text screens can be selected by pressing all the buttons.
