Practical external 1990s dial-up/fax modem

This was the little box that you needed to allow your computer to access the internet & other dial-up servers before broadband was introduced & swept them all away. Modems made a familiar screeching/whirring sound at the start of connection. Speeds were desperately slow by today's standards but you were grateful then because you hadn't experienced anything better & besides, websites were considerably leaner then compared to today.
