Practical period Uher 4000 reporter's reel to reel tape recorder

This would have been a competitor to the far more expensive Nagra tape recorders. The rotating 5" spools are easily visible through the part perspex lid but not when the leather case is closed. There is a very prominent power lamp on the front panel which is lit whenever the tape is moving. Big bold piano type buttons control all tape functions. Can run from D size batteries. This has 4 different speeds which can be useful to experiment with if  the spools show strobing effects when filmed - like the backwards turning wagon wheels.
