We have specially modified these tape drives so they never run off the end of the spool which normally requires tedious manual rethreading & tensioning. Some of these run continuously forwards which is good for depicting audio tapes & some are switch selectable to also shuttle backwards & forwards in the jerky way that computer tapes move. Very visual & dynamic - great for depicting mainframe computers which may have filled a room. These easily mount in our server racks & also into some of our taller desk top cabinets of the same format.
