All these lenses have an impressively large diameter front element that that's not much smaller than the overall diameter. Most of these can be mounted on our range of traditional CCTV cameras to make them look more intimidating. A longer lens generally denotes the ability to view distant objects as if they're really close - like binoculars do. A fat lens generally improves a camera's ability to operate in low light levels. Cameras that are required to cover a wide viewing angle have a short focal length & are usually short in length. A skilled burglar or special ops agent should know all this. Some lenses are zoom so it's then much harder to guess what they're capable of picking out at any specific time.
