This is a very large collection of transparent fronted component storage drawers. They're novel in that rather than sliding out, the drawers tilt forward against a stop to allow you to get at the contents. These must have originally come from somewhere like a TV/radio repair workshop as they come complete with highly visual, mostly period contents such as electrical meters, bakelite knobs, tuning dials, fuses, electrical terminals, connectors, switches etc.
Electrical & electronic components are produced not only in different styles & sizes but also in dozens of different values - ohms, voltages etc. So one always needs a huge number of modular storage locations to keep things organised & separate.
These drawers come in horizontal strips 60cms long that can be slotted together vertically to any height up to about that of a person or somewhat less if loaded with heavy items. You can either assemble them from the floor level or from the back of a workbench. The number of drawers in each strip can be 3, 4, 5 or 6. The smaller the number of drawers in each strip the taller & deeper the drawers are. We do in fact have many more drawer strips than are shown in the photos - particularly small ones, but we just don't have enough clear wall space to assemble any more. Because of the versatility of the system, you can assemble the right number & combination of drawers to fit into your particular set. The smaller drawers must always be assembled on top of larger drawers, not the other way around as they are shallower & would therefore overhang otherwise.
