Period Marconi TF 2700 universal LCR component bridge

Instruments like this were traditionally used in electronics labs & workshops for accurately measuring the values of inductors, capacitors & resistors (LCR). Quite a lot of knowledge & delicate knob twiddling were involved before a result could be deduced by reading the numbers off the dials. The analogue meter did NOT display the result itself. The other knobs were twiddled until the needle was at its lowest setting. These days a digital instrument can automatically give an accurate result with virtually no intervention required.
