Portable 1980s VHS video recorder/recording device

In its time, this was considerably smaller than domesitic VCRs. It has a fold down carrying handle. Viewed from the front, this looks like an unspecified recording device. We have a run of 4 which can be stacked neatly in a bank to look like some kind of hi-tech monitoring system.
