Practical professional portable Uher cassette tape recorder with illuminated VU meter

This is a high quality but very compact cassette tape recorder used for high quality recording. Unusually the cassettes are loaded by pushing the short edge into the slot at the top right in the same manner as most car cassettes. The VU meter is nicely illuminated for filming & the needle twitches in both playback & record modes. There is a working tape counter bottom right. Because it's front loading, the spool visibility is not so great for filming as many others. It comes with a leather satchel style carrying case so it may have been aimed at journalists.
