Practical stylish 1970s hand torch/flashlight in orange & grey

These torches made by Ever Ready were very popular in their time. This is the larger version that uses the fat U2 size batteries. Traditional torches like these will be a dissapointment to younger people as they're far less bright than LED ones and they eat batteries being about 1% efficient compared to about 20% for LEDs. However the light they produce has a very distinct warm yellow colouration. The cold LED light quality from a modern torch would look completely wrong for a period production.
