Very cool looking radial copper wire coil assembly

Actually the stator from a pancake shaped electric motor. The enamelled copper wire wound coils create a rotating magnetic field which drags around the rotating part of the motor that would have closely fitted over this coil assembly in its previous life. Excellent spacey/science laboratory/steam punk look to this piece.
