This very clever little box converts the 625 line TV video signal as produced by our media players, DVD players etc into the correct but obsolete TV signal that is required to put images on our early 405 line only TVs using their aerial socket. This will be supplied with all cables & ready configured by us so that it powers up to the correct channel for the hired TV. It can also produce a test card image which is a useful diagnostic aid for when there is no video signal input.
The 405 line TV signal was transmitted for British TVs from 1936, paused during WW2 & then was finally switched off in 1985.
