"Practical" Geiger counter/radiation detector in custard yellow aluminium box

This could have been used in either a nuclear laboratory or out in the field for detecting radioactivity - probably Alpha & Beta particles. In use, you would point a probe at your suspected radioactive source and watch the number of counts on the analogue meter. One of these has been made "practical". Turning the pointer knob advances the meter needle.
