Practical small desktop green text screen Visual Display Unit with keypad & knobs

Probably originally a boat navigation aid. Good dressing for period NASA control rooms or other sciency scenes. At the rear is a ROM cartridge slot like on early games consoles. With the cartridge removed, the internal micro crashes resulting in the busy animated, continually changing screen shown in the first picture. With the cartridge installed, the proper changeable text display appears as in the second pic.
