Practical VDU/computer terminal for mainframe access

Visual Display Units or computer terminals like this weren't actual computers with calculating or storage ability as we know today. They were typically used for connecting remotely to a large computer such as a mainframe until personal computers became common place. You can type your own green on black text onto the 24 x 80 screen by steering the cursor around using the keyboard. Or as an action prop, you could send prepared blocks of text to it on cue from an out of shot computer with the right serial adaptor. The graphics abilities at the time were negligible so this can only print from its own character set with a few blocky extra characters thrown in.
