PYE Scalamp moving light spot laboratory galvanometer

This would have been used for measuring very small electrical currents in a laboratory environment. Instead of a heavy pointer being moved by the current as in conventional meters, a tiny mirror suspended on delicate pivots reflects a tightly focussed spot of light back onto the calibrated translucent scale. The spot of light can be animated by connecting up an adjustable voltage source. Period hammerite silver finish.
