This teleprinter was originally used by the post office for sending & receiving telegrams. The machine printed the messages out onto narrow 3/8" wide continuous paper strip. Message strips at the receiving end of the line were then cut & stuck onto post cards for hand delivery often by a boy on a bicycle.
Wonderfully complicated & intricate mechanism full of levers & springs is completely exposed. Not presently
