This was the interior part of a popular in-vehicle Pye transceiver radio system as used by taxi drivers etc. The main part of the transmitter was brief case sized & so was hidden away in the car boot out of sight. The green light is on all the time. When the fist microphone Press To Talk switch is squeezed, The red light comes on.
