Practical world war 2 RCA AR88 military radio receiver

Classic American made world war 2 radio receiver with nicely backlit moving tuning scales. Little expense was spared in its design & construction. These featured tremendously sensitive reception with excellent selectivity & so were much used during the war for eavesdropping on Nazi communications. The Nazis refused to believe that it would be possible to receive their transmissions over such long distances. For many years after the war, these reliable sets were popular amongst radio amateurs. Featured in an episode of Prime Suspect 1973. Contains no internal speaker so it will need to be dressed with uncomfortable bakelite period headphones which we have or an external speaker for maximum realism. Warning, this is very heavy.
